Danyi Yang
Composer / Arranger
Danyi Yang is a composer, arranger, sound designer and music producer from China, currently based in New York City. She earned her Bachelor in Composition and Theory (Music Design and Production) from Zhejiang Conservatory of Music, and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Screen Scoring at New York University.
Danyi's work spans film, television, video games, animation, theater, and large-scale immersive productions. She is the winner of the NYU Steinhardt Film Scoring Composition Competition. Her original dance work Whisper of the Moonlight received the Master Award in the UK International Music Competition and the Beeffie Creative Music and Art Award. She has contributed to projects such as the feature film Ambassador from Han Empire, the television series Stream, and the video game Trace of the Wind. As a multi-instrumentalist, Danyi plays the guzheng, piano, electric Bass and guitar. With a broad musical background and strong stylistic versatility, she can adapt to almost any musical style, bringing color and character to every project she works on.
