Jennifer Sun is a Los Angeles and New York based film composer and collaborator passionate about telling stories through music. With a cinematic and versatile musical voice, she creates emotionally driven scores for film, documentary, and video games, blending orchestral writing with modern production techniques and sound design to build immersive narrative worlds.

Her love of film music began the first time she watched Titanic and discovered James Horner’s score—an early spark that inspired her to pursue composition as a way to shape emotion and storytelling through sound. She began piano lessons at age four and completed her bachelor’s studies in composition in Los Angeles. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Screen Scoring at New York University, focusing on film scoring, orchestration, arranging, mixing, and music preparation, supported by extensive recording and production experience.

Influenced by Golden Age Hollywood scoring, jazz, classical traditions, indie film music, and contemporary sound design, Jennifer’s work emphasizes rich texture, clarity, and expressive storytelling. She crafts distinctive sonic identities that elevate a project’s emotional atmosphere and sense of world.
